Leo A. Ryan joined the law firm in 2002. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Dakota, master’s degree in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College, and a law degree from the UND School of Law. Mr. Ryan worked in the Stutsman County State’s Attorney’s Office until 2002 where he focused on trial and appellate level work. He has over 30 years of military service and is currently a Colonel and Brigade Commander. He is a veteran of the Gulf War (1990-1991) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (2007-2008).
In addition to providing legal services to private and business clients throughout the state, Mr. Ryan serves in a legal capacity for multiple government entities. He has provided course instruction to law enforcement and instructed in the Department of Criminal Justice at Jamestown College. He is an active member of civic groups; he has served on his city council, has served on the board of several organizations, and enjoys the rural lifestyle of North Dakota.
